The guys have started on the loft.
Last Friday we had the scaffolding up. Well not all the scaffolding, they ‘forgot’ the shorter poles for the side of the house. Today I woke to the sound of the builders chatting outside over mugs of tea. They were hoping that the scaffolding would arrive so that they could crack on with the metal-work. Said metal-work is currently languishing in the front of the house.
When I arrived home after a sweaty cycle ride from Waterloo I saw that a delivery of wood had also arrived and had been propped up against the scaffolding at the front of the house.
The site manager said it would be a week to get the floor put in so we came go up there and gauge the size of the rooms. How exciting!
