Here I am 8:41am Saturday morning. Jake is with me in the lounge playing Lego star Wars(yes still). Amy and baby Mia are asleep upstairs. Mia was an absolute poppet last night. She woke every 2 hours for a feed and went back sleep most times without any complaint.
At around 3.30am she grizzled a little when she went in the moses basket so I rubbed her tummy and gave her a little cuddle. After a little posset she was fine. Again this morning after a good winding I placed her back in the basket while she was awake. After a couple of grunts and moans she was asleep.
I’m not sure what we should do today. It is rather grey outside and a little drizzly. At least the temperature is a little warmer now. When I say ‘warm’ I mean around 10 degrees :-).
It is now 22:30. In the end we didn’t go out at all. Jake played the ‘GPS’ and then we watched Star Wars which Jake loved, especially the action bits. I don’t think he understood the plot too well. Amy went out for a walk because she was getting cabin fever. In the evening I was ‘flying solo’ with the two bairns. Amy went to Ruth’s to celebrate the passing of her exams. When Ames got back I cycled to Sainsburgs for some treats. The new mudguards held up well. No rattles or shakes there at all.
When I got back I heard Amy calling for help. Mia had decided in mid nappy change to empty her bowels, not once, not twice but three times in the space of a minute :-).
I am now off to watch the second episode of the last ever series of Lost. Mia is asleep in her moses basket so all is well :-).
