Meltdown

Amy has been hard at work the last couple of weekends marking coursework for Tribal. I have been getting th children out of the house to give her some peace and quiet! On Saturday we went to Greenwich Park. He had picnic lunch at the foot of Jake’s hill and then proceed up the hill. Mia did very well, striding up purposefully.

At the top Mia was tired so I popped her in the pram and she was soon asleep. Jake and I proceeded to the Pavillion Gardens for an ice cream and a sit-down. We bought two mint choc chip ice creams(minus the flakes boo!) and sat down in a shady area. Within a few minutes Jake had made a friend also called Jake and they were chargin in and out of the ‘Weeping Angel’ forest. Mia slept peacefully on until…she was woken by Jake and/or Jake when they came to investigate the pram(I think Jake wanted to proudly show the other Jake his sister ).

Anyway Mia WAS WOKEN. This is something that you SHOULD NOT DO. She looked a little bemused then started to cry. In a very short period of time she was in full meltdown mode. I carried her, she cried, put her down, she cried, In fact all my efforts to calm her down were in vain. She ws writhing and bucking so much that in the end I had to put her in the pram and leave. After a few minutes walking with her wailing in the pram she kind of calmed down. Enough for her to come out for a play on the grass in Blackheath :-).
