I don’t know what’s going on. In London in particular and elsewhere in the UK there have been on-going riots. These were sparked by the death of a young man in Tottenham. It is evident though that the looting seen yesterday is simply opportunistic and copycat. Last night some shops were looted and cars set ablaze in Lewisham which is just down the hill.
This was a little too close to home. Before going to bed I double locked all doors and hoped it wouldn’t kick off. Luckily the night passed peacefully. This may have something to do with the fact that Lewisham is home to the largest police station in Europe :-).
