Jabs

I have taken the week off. It’s been very pleasant so far. Georgina visited on Monday all the way from Chicago. We spent the evening playing the fiendishly addictive Boomblox on the Wii. On Tuesday lovely Tante arrived from Copenhagen to stay with us for the week.
This morning we were enjoying a relative ‘lie-in’, only to realise that Jake and Mia’s jabs were scheduled for today at 8.40am at Hilly Fields clinic. After a panic and flurry of activity we arrived having walked across the park, only 8 minutes late.

Jake was first and he wasn’t expecting anything. It was sad to see his little face turn from happy to pained as the nurse did the injection :-(. He then had to have a second jab in his other arm. He was such a brave little boy.

Mia then had to have her Diptheria, Tetanus, Polio and Whooping cough jabs. This was the same as Jake’s, his other one being his pre-school booster.

In the afternoon Tante and I set off for Decathlon and Homebase, although we only got as far as Decathlon because the traffic in New Cross was absolutely horrendous so it took us ages. I was impressed with the cycling gear. Very reasonable prices and good quality.

The girls are now out for a night in the Tav where last Thursday the ‘dads’ met and I downed a silly amount of Guinness.
