Oh noro…reprise

Here I am sitting in the lounge, I can hear no noise except the gentle ticking of the baby monitor. Next to me are my books for the evening. Danny Wallace; Friends Like These and Lonely Planet…On The Edge. I feel a little on edge it has to be said.Mia is proving a little difficult to put to bed this evening. She sleeps while walking her around then I put her in the cot. Within minutes she is crying and hauling herself up so that her head is pressing against the cot bumper. This has happened several times this evening already. I half expect to be interrupted from this blog by her plaintiff wail. Let’s see shall we? It’s now 22:43.

We had to abort our weekend at Granny’s. Last night both I and Jake succumbed to the dreaded norovirus. Jake had diarrhoea last night and by 2am had been sick three times. Twice in his own bed and once in ours. This morning we decided to head back home. On the way back Jake vomited a hot chocolate all the the car interior :-(.

We have spent most of today lying in bed watching DVD’s. Finger-crossed he is on the mend. He has woken so far and was able to keep down some water and a little toast. Poor lamb :-(.

Amy is wacked, last night Mia was back to feeding every 2 hours. I plan to make up some formula for Mia’s next feed to give Amy a little rest. She ensured I had a lie-in the other day when the tiredness began to overwhelm me, so I think I should reciprocate.

Well, it is now 22:52, do I dare venture upstairs and get into bed? I think I’ll read a little and have a cup of tea.
